Spiral binding

Spiral binding is a bookbinding method that uses a plastic or metal coil, which is often referred to as a "spiral" or "coil," to bind the pages of a document together. This binding method involves punching evenly spaced holes along the edge of the document and then threading a coil through these holes to secure the pages.

The process typically involves these steps:
  1. Spiral Binding: Also known as coil binding, this method involves using a plastic or metal spiral coil threaded through small holes along the document's spine.
  2. Saddle-Stitching: Folding sheets in half and stapling along the fold (common for booklets).
  3. Perfect Binding: Gluing the edges of a stack of pages to create a flat spine (common in paperback books).
  4. Comb Binding: Using a plastic comb to bind the pages.
